After we moved, one of our members carved out runestone to help plot palisade locations in the near future, then all of a sudden while no one was around, I log in to find one of them saying "Bull was here"...

I don't think any of our group even left scents, as we're the victims here.

I hear almost everyone saying a bad thing or two about Russians. Frankly I haven't met a bad souled Russian man or woman in-game. I've kinned them and so has our main village elder. We've made friends with all nationalities (well most). We even have had a Finnish man join us. Our village consists of Australian, New Zealand, Finnish and American individuals and we aren't stopping there.

Racism is for the dumber individuals whom lack understanding and chose to stereotype instead. Be real - we're all human, we all live, eat, breath, sin and do good in our own sense. If you have a problem with a village/group then do something about it instead of whining about them on the forums.

At this stage in the game, I doubt anyone would have seriously high combat skills. I agree with Azpire, and it might do everyone some benefit to invest a little in unarmed, and the next time a mean ruski tries to punch you in the face, you can punch back

The only way to deal with a bully is to stand up to them. At least that's what the movies tell me. Though I doubt even if you killed them that they would stop, because a lot of assholes do indeed play this game. But yeah all of the Russians we have met so far have been nice, at least polite enough to say hello when we sail past. I've personally never encountered the "ruin" that the rumours about Russian people seem to say.

These players seems to want caves for their massive tunnels... Mole people are one thing, but Mutant Mole People armed and in large numbers is another.

In my 'griefer' thread, I actually punched the guy back a few times, until he swapped his boar helm for a bear cape... And then suddenly increased UA to 30 or something.

Sure you can 'fight back' but they evolve faster than you over time that it makes you wonder what they are on...

It's not 'Standing up to bullies' It's grouping up AGAINST the bullies.
If it were to be described as a school yard, find all the bullied victims and talked them into beating the crap out of the bullies.

So if they have 8 no-lifers that can soon to one shot you? Get 20 rangers that all has wooden bows and high (50) MM, sacrifice close combat for high damaging range.
Then spam arrows on them to death... Personally, getting super slings with high perception is easier than working with bows since q90 slings is 3x 60 base damage. Just hunt bears and have high survival to make leather straps and leather.
Because ranged attacks always deal base damage, and doesn't has to break through defense weight.

Had a neighbor give me some curiosities. He didn't tell me where he lived when I asked, but I don't blame him. All of my neighbors have been very kind thus far. We will see how they behave when everyone has skills and attributes built up.

Russian isn't a race since the Russian Federation is made up of everything from Caucasians from European Russia, Turkish descent in George/Amernia area, Asian descent in Siberia. So calling it Racism is incorrect its good old fashioned nationalism the best of the Ism's (also i think its funny you have all western based Nationalities and talk about how your holding hands across the world).

Finland is totally a western based nationality, guys. We never said we were holding hands across the world, merely that we don't discriminate against someone just because of rumors about the society they live in. Albert Einstein was German, so should people have treated him as if he were a Nazi sympathizer when Adolf Hitler rose to power?

Finland is a western based nationality, guys. We never said we were holding hands across the world, merely that we don't discriminate against someone just because of rumors about the society they live in. i never claimed to believe less of someone because of the nation they are from. I do like to point out though because of lack of common language it makes it more likely for hostility to ensue. Also YES Finland is a western country it was originally a eastern based slavic society but was conquered by Protestant Sweden in the 1300's then taken over by the Teutonic Knights in the 1400's and then was conquered again by the Swede's in the 1600's it has more in common with germany/sweden then Russia just ask any Finn. They are like any similar Baltic state and are Anti-Russian because historically Russia has conquered them then either slaughtered or deported their populations. Look at Finland and Sweden during the Cold war pro western democracies.

I think you mis-use the term of western countries.

It is not any less of an accomplishment that people from these countries are apparently more open minded and willing to compromise.

It is in fact a very big accomplishment of all these originally very different countries - that often used to be hostile towards eachother in the past - to get along nowadays, leaving all this behind and base their friendship on a common set of norms and ethics.

So, if you talk about only people from western countries behaving a certain way that should be very much seen as a compliment that all those not holding hands with us today have yet to achieve.

P.S.: You also seem to be unaware of the fact that the term "racism" has been through quite the development over time. Today it is very much an anthropologic term describing not a biological race, but a people. A people however is very much linked to the modern definition of nation states, which consists of several factors such as a common ideology, a fixed geographical space and well, a or several people.

Racism here is very much an extreme position while nationalism means nothing more than following the idea of a nation state. So it is value-fee* while racism is always negatively connoted.

*Note that reality often looks pretty different here. There is a wide spectrum of (legitimate) perceptions for the term nationalism. Some in fact see it as an equal to racism, for others it is a very much a honorable trait.

"Race" has quite a few definitions, I did not use it out of context. Also I did not type "Russian Federation" I only said "Russians". I could say nationalism, but it's not what I'm aiming at.
Also I detest nationalism on the basis that again it's a bunch of individuals whom lack an open mind, knowledge and whom are apart of a herd of sheep.
