Ill agree an update should have been posted but the closest thing to game instructions clearly lists what can be summoned.

Your upset Ramones. The usual purpose of summoning is to kill.

Sure I would be pissed ^^

And sure it would make sense if the devs wrote actual patchlogs.

Nontheless one knows of the rough nature of HnH and that such things can happen at any time if our gods feel like it. So let this be a lesson for the next time ;)

Its the whole exploiting aspect and if someone says that person who just want to use the mechanics in traveling purpose, so he does not boat for 15min is bad guy, that is pathetic. Ofcourse, compared to real bad guys who would summon themselves inside enemy walls, make slaughterfest etc.

real bad or a little bad, its bad anyways and i dont understand how you can call that "good" when you exploit the mechanic on purpose.
scents are not meant for travelling, but for summoning. afterwards, whether you raid or trade with him/her is a small difference. (they even rhyme!) the outcome always profits you in unintentional ways.

I don't think I know why you have me as a bad guy, I can only assume. But I'm sure if you will want to, you will PM me about it so we don't spam the thread with it.

just reminding you one of your posts wouldnt spam the thread much anyways.

ramones wrote:Tonky you are acting like you never use any "exploits" for your own gameplay, which just help you to ease the process and speed time.

hah, you dont know how i play, do you? i never compete with/against others for speed and time.

Ah cause of that :D M'kay, you got fully right to think the way you do than.

As for time speeding, I'm just a person who hates traveling around, I find it as a painfull thing to do, I'm more of a person that works best in closed area, having everything around and doing magic with it, so every tiny thing that helps me avoid such travels is helpfull. And this is far away from being gamebreaking from my point of view.

I'm sure most already have, do and will agree that there is a line between "good" guys using "exploits" in daily basis and "bad" guys using it for bad intentions. :)

Been saying this forever.

This developer coyness regarding important mechanics is awful and has no place in a pvp permadeath game. This stance is one of the things Seatribe should be re-examining.

ha ha, thanks, but i dont need to be allowed to think the way i do ;) i have every right to think in my way.
i do agree though that it should have been announced, but still. in my eyes, you did get punished for exploiting the mechanic.

remember, its not democracy here. most or some doesnt matter, im aware that not even what i think matters, but it is what GODS think that matters.

Noone can do it because J&L never tell anyone what is intended. Most of their posts are like 'it is sandbox, you can do everything you can'. They knew about summon abusing for more than 3 years, even in time when they was developing hnh, and they still didn't fix it. I see the only reason why they didn't fix it - they didn't think it is abuse. They finally see summon is bad after Salem, it's ok, but H&H not Salem, summon was still avaliable here. Nvm i even don't mind about shadow fixes and death of alts, i mostly raged because of ppl who come here and say "it's your fault that you take axe in left hand instead of right one, so go die now"

This is something I'm fully aware and its how it should be. The only thing the "G"ods should realise is that they have lot of people that worship them, and they should have ears open much more times than one time per year. But this whole thing would need another discussion of completely unrelated topic :)

It preety much sums up what Apx said.

not sure if they have ears to listen to this "difference between good exploits and bad exploits" you speak of...but who knows.

doesnt mean it says you can exploit and bug-abuse to your heart's content to win.
