Yeah, about that. I'm still extremely curious about the formula for steel crucibles. I've figured out or been told the formulas for almost every other aspect of the game, at least the crafting aspects. But I've asked numerous times and never received an answer about the crucibles. The temperature system is particularly perplexing since it has the possibility of being so variable throughout the process. My favorite theories are:

1) The temperature only matters at the very end of the process so you can leave it at 0% the entire time and let it drop to 100% right as the steel finishes

2) It is simply (wroughtQ + coalQ + tempA*fuelQ)/3 where tempA is the total average % that the temperature was throughout.

I'm still not sure how it would even calculate the average temperature unless it picks an arbitrary measurement of time. I suppose each fuel tick would make the most sense.

Steel is the fucking worst craft, keeping it level all fucking day and night.

me TOO! I lost months of work. what are you angry about?

Edit: Can I just say for the record, I think it's crazy that you only keep 25% of your current LP. IMO it should set all of your skill values to 0 and give 25% of your total LP. Then you can just re-allocate the skill values and you still get back a portion of your investment in actual skills (Pottery, Plant Lore, etc) At least consider it.

You can always go back and take some. You're always welcome in the city of Macomb. Provided you break in and kill the inhabitants of course. Obviously by welcome I mean prohibited from entering legally. Semantics really.

So I said, but people were too blinded with outrage to actually consider the suggestion. Fools that will never rise above their own miserable and petty existence.

I am actually pleased about it. It will get us hopefuly rid off this situation, which is that we still have no real centralized city with functional defense force (Militia) and bigger population. Population of players are spread all over the map, as everyone want to get their own territory without regulations of town "polis" society. There is aswell price for it - need of self defense. Initiative of Goons is logical, as there is not really any village well organised or well populated to do so.

Oh lads, lets throw away our isolationistic intentions intentions and build up together first big city of Haven and Hearth, first city state with functional authority and army.

There is no real development in technology ( in lore ) without civilization.

The endeavor to understand is the first and only basis of virtue.

Problem is that village management sucks monkey balls. You can't run such a city without it getting griefed out of existence by infiltrators.
