Isn't it a hard "f"? Like Hey Fen? Also: what's the Swedeish word for Hearth?

According to google translation, härd.

Also, alternative name, Heaven and Earth.

Dunno but it made more sense than using Haven (Hay-ven a good time). However it is supposed to be pronounced, I like the sound of "Ha-fen" regardless.

Of course the game is called "Haven & Hearth", but I'm sure you can recognize the need for terms to distinguish the two versions of it that may be under discussion during this time of them existing in parallel. If anything, I do not seldom suffer a bit under the lack of a specific term for the current version.

The working title for the next version of Haven & Hearth is "Hafen." When the new version goes live it will then be "Haven & Hearth." Like most game developers they assign project names to distinguish a upcoming project from a current one. The only difference is most developers don't release working project names. Use whichever you choose. It really only matters when your trying to distinguish the current version from the one in production.

I am ok with what ever the devs call it while they make the new version. Seen odder names for games I have played (Tinywarz changing to Drop Shock ect...). The code name for H&H is fine be me.

Wow most games use build numbers for a reason. I thought you'd at least have an internal one ;)

As a QA tester I can't even really do my job without em.

I never quite understood why some software projects deal with build numbers, when there are VC revision IDs instead. I've assumed it's just a some kind of left-over from the days of CVS.

Either way, how would you use build numbers in relation to Haven1/Haven2 when they are separate branches evolving independently?

As soon as dealing with GIT you don't want VCS revision IDs because the users usually can't understand some properties of hashes.

H&H1.x vs. H&H2.y ?
