Yes, I can.

When I was around 9-10 in middleschool, we would go almost every friday midday to the local swimming pool and swim lanes in various ways. There are 3 types of "diplomas" you could get. A, B and C. Got A and B only because I wasn't able to hold my breath long enough to swim through an underwater hole at that time :( . Fancy diplomas too btw, they are printed in baked tiles.

In my swimming pool, every diploma had a picture as graduation. Dolphi, turtle, shark and so on.

I was a child, so i was happy for the picture on mine, and i run to show it to my mom!
And my mother smiles so... hardly. I remember she was tring hard to smile at me, when i said "Look! I'm a sea star!"

...yeah. I'm stuck on the rock and that's all my swimming power.

"...G-good. Nice star..."
Two years of money gone for nothing... I feel so gulty now. XD
Noob since i'm born! XDDD

Grew up in Florida swimming in rivers, lakes, the ocean, etc, etc. That place is nothing but water. The way people talk about it, you'd think we rode airboats to school and used Hurricanes to power windmills to squeeze orange juice.

To be honest; not all that far from the truth.

In our country people usually learn to swim very early, some at 2-3 years old, some bit later, but mostly everyone knows how to swim before kindergarden. So seeing such question is quite funny and I can't imagine that in other places it would be different, but I guess different habbits.

I know how to swim, although I'm not personally a fan of it and will avoid it whenever possible.
