You have to accept that this is not harvest moon. If you want to play it that wy fine, join a city that has some fighter, make them protect you while you do trades. It may sound weird, but sometimes, though very rare, you could have valuables to trade that actually are worth stealing.

Ever wonder if it's all for you

Come and tell me when it's time to

That is *one* example. As I said, I don't even want to think of the potential for dickery that comes with that kind of "system".

... BUT no unprovoked PVP without a scent...period. Yep, it's just that simple. You just don't WANT it that way (nor do your griefer fans)...you, (I believe) think it's just as funny for the immature lolz to see players murdered, unprovoked, for nothing, as the griefers who do it. BECAUSE it is just way too easy to fix. (If you wanted to). This is also why the thousands upon thousand of dollars you probably could be making easy every month if you wanted it , isn't there. Nor will it ever be if you think catering to that player base is the answer.

Looks to me like he read it. Jorb's example of a problem could be easily solved. Jorb doesn't want to, which is fine, but that doesn't show a lack of reading on Rhiannon's part.

Maybe you or someone else could address (I don't think jorb will beyond "quoting" Jackard) Rhiannon's point that there isn't any real PvP in this game. Do two fairly equal characters ever actually fight? Or is it always raiding, summoning, and killing when someone isn't around, or killing characters far too weak to actually present a challenge?

man you guys just don't get it... having pvp-invulnerability is just too exploitable.

I know you think so. I don't. Jorb agrees with you.

On the second point, does actual PvP occur between reasonably equal characters?

how do you not see how it would be exploitable? here's one situation: 8 pvp invulnerable characters surround a pvp player while a different pvp player shoots him with a bow. here's another: pvp invulnerable player interferes with your trade by picking up your chest/basket/boat/whatever. you are powerless to stop him. maybe you can think of a few more.

as for the second point: sometimes.

Invulnerable alts would also be perfect for cartjacking.

Why do you need me to agree with you about non-PvP alts? I don't, nor will I in the future. For each example you give, I can think up a way to combat it. There's no point in doing so, because Jorb isn't going to use them, so I won't bother. It's just not a point worth contending.

As for the PvP overall in this game, what percentage is fairly equal characters fighting, and what percentage is powerful characters against much weaker characters? What percentage is summoning/killing of people not online?

Personally, I suspect the percentage of fairly equal character PvP is very low, and I wonder if that is what was intended in the design of this game.

no you can't, actually, or you would have.

i'm sure it is low. keep in mind: it's an alpha. they are currently working on the combat system.
