Plenty of room for troughs and chests/seed bags to hold food!

Neat. I hadn't checked and thought troughs were always immobile. Hopefully horses can eat while tied to a wagon, so people don't have to build a fence around themselves to log off, but this could work well...

Pacho wrote:jorb, the problem with seedbags is mainly that you can't automatically plant the best seeds (seriously, hand-picking them is just tedious, having to dump the bags in a chest and then sort them one by one is tedious), and you can't plant grass directly from them. I stopped using bags the moment my scrollwheel sorting actually started working since I no longer had to manually sort the seeds I wanted to replant.

Other than that, the wagons look great! =D Though on the teleportation issue, I think only hearthfire porting and mebe village porting should stay.

better take care Pacho, with such reasonable statements you soon won´t be able to piss Avu off.

anyway, if these waggons are implemented and telporting is cut back, there are some points to be considered:

travel speed should be high enough to cross a certain distance in reasonable time. like say 10 minutes per supergrid. other wise trade, which crawls slow but steady on a more global scale, will be pushed back into nonexistence or a mere neighbourly scale.

the second important issue is the safety of the travellers. if waggons are bound to certain routes or built roads, it will be easy for some waylaying highwaymen to rob, kill and destroy the waggons of unwary travellers.so the question will be , if it could be able to initiate combat on a moving waggon or not. the other thing is, if you are a real waggon folk, with having your hf in the waggon and such, how can you obtain safety while sleeping or resting? is there a certain soak involved like with palisades or such? or do you just have to cut open the linen plane and enjoy the goods found inside?

so many questions only the gods can answer.

hopefully they have a high soak so that theft is more attractive than vandalizing

wagons are similar to houses in that players should be unable to destroy them completely, only reduce them to a ruined state which only suffers decay and must be repaired before use
