Nothing really. People were complaining about vaults where you can't build a wall to protect your own ram, and it was suggested that rams be movable via rafts with reduced decay.

Obviously the solution introduces a number of other conflicts which would need to be addressed. I don't know why Klaue is making such a big deal of it though because it was only being discussed by like 1-2 people and it's not like jorb took the idea and decided to implement it.

Also a much easier way to deal with those vaults is to just befriend its owner and then stab them in the back when they're not looking. ;)

Yeah wtf when I read his post about the rams and rafts he made it sound like it was implemented already and as far as I know it wasn't so I don't get what he is complaining about.

it's more because, from the sounds of it, they
do it over and over again, the problem is
that vaults on a shore are virtually unbreakable
so the temporary solution would be to make
it so rafts can carry rams with a reduced decay
from movement.

with the warping bugs they went from fixing boat
jumping to CR jumping to mine jumping, but
in the end there's just something wrong with the
current wall system and the way it interacts with
all the other systems and small functions of this
game.

Who knows what the ultimate solution is, but
if he didn't voice his opinion then it'd never be
realized that this is probably the wrong solution.

Oh give me a fucking break. The people in the thread THAT SUGGESTED THE SOLUTION noted the problems with it. It's not like everyone one was gung-ho on the idea and then wise and perceptive Klaue stopped in to inform them of the error of their ways.

Oh true?

You don't need to get all defensive, sometimes your
ideas are just bad.

You literally implied that if Klaue was not allowed to voice his opinion then no one would ever see the flaws in certain suggestions. That's just retarded.

Also, here's a simple solution: Allow rams to be loaded onto rafts, but movement along water counts as movement across ground equally with regards to decay. Most vaults would still be able to get hit as rivers are generally not wider than 20 tiles, and riverside settlements are protected as long as they're still doing their basic perimeter checks. See? Is it that hard to have a civilized discussion about proposed gameplay mechanics (that no doubt will never get implemented anyway)?
