I think once you break the 5m LP boundary or so it goes easymode, being able to kill level X bears with ease.

I, one day, will break it too, I hope.

That said blaze, ye olde times probably had situations that made LP gain easier, exploitable.

Not being able to find a mine has all but killed this game for me, as my character from the first world is good at absolutely nothing but mining. I jerk off in the woods, constantly throwing branches into looms and then destroying them for LP instead of doing anything useful. Maybe I can find a town of people who aren't douchebags, or targeted by douchebags, that needs a miner.

I don't know how other people got their LP, but I didn't figure out the no pathfnding trick until AFTER saving some random archer from a lvl 3 boar.
That was my 4th day of gameplay, by then I already had 30 points in every combat skill, then I joined Clayshire and my LP skyrocketed from Diatre's "dragging members across all of Hearth" events.

The only thing I ever grinded is mass making teapots on my first 2 days, by then I could take down boars and foxes with relative ease. And after that, the only grinding I ever did was making teapots after an update when I knew the server was going to crash anyway.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Ah, the good old days of Clayshire. It's a shame it was ruined.

The City of Brodgar Accepts miners. I'm surprised you haven't seen our threads

I don't know why you feel the need to take a swing at me... Yeah, I've got a job, software engineer, I work it 40 hours a week. I also play volley ball, one game a week which is about 2 hours once transport is included, I go to parties, lans, have a girlfriend and play a lot of board games...
I end up playing H&H for about 1 or 2 hours a day most days before I head off to work, and then maybe 1 hour or so in the afternoon. I also play more on weekends if I'm not doing one of the other things I do...

I just have a different perspective to you I think. I don't look at the time it takes me to do something in H&H as parts of my life that I'm cutting out and burning... I'm specifically playing this game because I find the hunting, gathering, farming and building stuff enjoyable, even better when I'm doing it with other people. It's no more wasted than the 5 hour board game sessions or the two hours I spent last night watching dollhouse with my girl friend.

Yeah, I'm sorry. There was no reason for me to do that. I guess my perspective is just different... I still think a half an hour is a long time to look for a cow, though, and since I end up spending over sixty hours a week on academic stuff, I cherish my time for hobbies and the like. What do you enjoy doing in H&H then?
There's other people who will gladly look for cows for you if you pay them in metal or silk.
Don't have metal or silk?
That's no problem, if you're playing and producing I almost guarantee you'll have something that people will want to buy.

That's why I love living in brodgar and getting into the trading so much.
