Xsyon looks like it has a lot of potential. Not a huge playerbase at the moment, but has a some nice features such as a cart system, tribe building, scavenging and animal breeding. No permadeath though :(

the only problem with xsyon is, it costs money. 40$ for the game itself, then 15$ a month after that. personally I dont play any game I have to pay for more than once. still... it would be a cool game to try, if you had the money for it.

I actually forked out the cash for it a few months ago and it was alright but there
is a way too small of a playerbase and you NEED other people with the other skills to really progress.

Ah yea, the PVP is what turned me off.
I saw people killing themselves just to transport goods back to their claim.
There is no perma-death and killing people yields nothing.
And theft wasn't an option when it comes to other people claims.

Bump because I am bored and curious to know what people have been playing lately.

Edit: Here's some things I've been playing on and off for the past while:

League of Legends
Dota 2
Team Fortress 2
DC Universe Online
KAG
Tera

Also note none of these games I have really found particularly interesting enough to invest too much time in to, and Tera was also only a 3 day closed beta that just ended on the 11th.

Is it really any good? I was never a fan of the whole star wars scene and don't think I'd enjoy it very much. Also personally I'm just a bit of a tight wad with my money and don't like paying for something that won't hold my interest past a week anyways

Well it's not yet "finished", but it is enjoyable. I enjoyed questing and PvP. Oh and dungeons are epic, haven't tried raiding yet as I haven't dinged 50 yet :) More stuff is coming ine next patch and game is becoming better and better.
And no it's no so like WoW, because there are some major differences: PvP is much much better and not one-shot farming fest, There is no really strict line between DPS, tank and healing role in dungeons. If you have abilities to do something you can step forward and help tank or healer or DPS do the job better or faster no matter what specialization you are. I remember one day in dungeon tank left dungeon and I pulled out my companion for tanking out and with healer we kept him up with no problems so we finished dungeon. Also quests are much much longer, world is bigger (much much bigger) and leveling is way harder. In addition you have there space combat (which I hope they will make more missions and PvP). There are also heroic quests which require more than only one person to complete as you are sent into "elite" mob area and are like mini dungeons on open. Graphics is pretty neat as well as dialogs (which you can skip if you want, but you lose a feeling of playing in a movie).
I would give it 8/10. :)
