Xcom, I watched all three video's and didn't find them boring at all! In fact I'm totaly left in awe. What you and your team had achieved, esp during the lag, is amazing, the building of it is a feat on its own but the thought, planning and intricacy of it is astounding.

I so wish I could have had the Blood Maze experience and if it is at all possible for Jorb and Loftar to replace it I would most strongly urge them to do so. I would even go so far to say that the maze should be immortalised in all future worlds, not only as a tribute to you and what it is possible to achieve within the dog eat dog environment of the hearthlands, but also for all the hearthlings to have something positive to wonder at and enjoy.

That you did all of this for the rest of us is even more remarkable, I can't remember the last time someone impressed me so much. Although it has passed now and I never got to find my way around it, I would still like to thank you Xcom, and all your team for such an incredible gift.

I hope you do take on a project for this world, I'm sure you would have no end of offers in assistance.

Just brilliant! :D

I really am glad people like the videos. I'll try and edit the picture slide videos and post them. They might be boring to some but maybe worth to upload cause of all the details that I explain during the build.

Its hard for me to post about the maze on the forums. Mostly because I have very strong opinions about the matter. Gist of it is that I feel I invested alot of time and energy in building something that was in a game or rather in the intellectual property of someone else. When it was taken away like it was I realized I cant invest as much energy and time again knowing it will happen again. I know it should have been expected but knowing is not the same as feeling.

I started playing world 6 and the lag plus the lack of interest from the devs gave me the illusion that world 6 would go on forever. I really didn't think it would take over 6 months to build. Mostly it took that long and could honestly have taken less then 2-3 months to finish but everything inside the maze itself was built by me solo building in the thickest of world 6 lag. It really was hard to go on building and I really did nearly give up because of how lonely it was. I joined emerald city to socialize and make the building go easier. But it was really difficult to get on building and I had to push myself very hard in the end to finalize it. That's why it really crushed me when the reset happened as it really took alot of energy out of me to reach the end then have it wiped just days before the opening. I even had the illusion that it would grow so big that it would catch the eye of the devs and make it last even beyond W6 and somehow get moved into the next world. But as it happens it didn't and I now realize that its best to just take haven with a grane of salt and not have to much energy invested in it.

I will most likely fade away in the distance and soon forgotten. Chill out here in game and do my scripting. Maybe do a few smaller projects here and there. Nothing big like the maze though.

Holy crap! That is the most awesome thing I've ever seen in H&H. I wish I could've experienced it. I agree with Coles that you deserve some dev items for that!!!! Thank you for sharing and I hope you do more things like that in the future. Bravo!

as most know I help Xcom with the things he builds and I can say that after being crushed by the reset and losing all the time and work he had in the maze that Xcom will not be doing anything like this again because there is no longer a reason driving him like there was last world about the only way that I can think of that would get Xcom to build something like this again would be an overwhelming outpouring from all of the H&H players for him to build more things but I'm sure that the small things that Xcom and myself do will go on like the making of a Q0 soldier's sword wish we have done and he has posted about but I'm sure small things like this will go on because it is how we play the game but as for something like Blood Maze I do not think that we will do anything like that again after losing all the time and work that we both put into it Xcom more than myself well it really got us down and we even thought about quitting haven because of it but thankfully we did not and so we are still moving on but as for our build of crazy things like Blood Maze I do not see it happening again for the fact that it will just be gone in a few months to a year and I don't think Xcom or myself could handle losing all that work and time again

thank you for all the support you have given Xcom over all of the things he has done and I hope you will remember the Blood Maze for all time even tho it never got to open
