lolwhut?

Don't know really how to specify. But practically if you look as if you are Indonesian/Chinese/Vietnamese/Japenese/Korean, people will assume that you are a hard worker and take studies seriously. If you on the other hand look as if you come from the Middle East part of Asia, people will think more of the crime statistics and patriarchic Islamic culture.

prejudiced (or more like conservative?) swedes, who would stereotype us as "hard-working", would still call us "niggas" though.

The only "negative" view that they would have against Japanese such as yourself would be if a Japanese female was in a relationship with an ethnically Swedish male, because then they would assume that the Swedish male imported a poor Asian girl who is only marrying him for the money. As long as the Japanese female avoids such relationships, she is fine and her family would be fine.

Edit:
It is very tragic actually. There was an article some months ago where an adopted ethnically East-Asian woman talked about how people behaved in a very rude manner towards her and her adoptive father when they were walking together because people thought the father had imported a wife.

Precisely.

There is an exception though and this is if the Swedish male you marry looks very good in the eyes of other Swedes and you look as if you are about the same age. Reason being that if you look as if you are the same age and the male is considered handsome, then people will find it unlikely that a such handsome fellow would actually have imported you.

And here I live in a country where imported brides aren't really considered a bad thing.

I really don't get why Canada has less racism/hostility towards immigrants when we're similar on most policies/attitudes with northern european countries otherwise.

Whilst the Brits judge everyone on their manners and etiquette, it doesn't matter where you come from or what you do, you can be a knife wielding sociopath but if you mind your 'p's' and 'q's' and don't drop your 'h's', you'll be fine.

Because you "started out" less homogeneous perhaps? Because Canada has been shaped by immigration to a much larger extent than Sweden?

In Belgium, you'll be treated well, as long as you speak Flemish, French, German and English.
Otherwise, I'm afraid you'll be forced to enjoy the unemployment benefits of 1000 euros and you won't be able to get the minimum wage of 1590 euros, or more.
