2. Games are supposed to be for lazy tards. That's what games are. Relaxation, not extra hard work. Who the fuck would want to play a game where you have to walk for hours to pick a couple of mussels, then walk for hours back? Nobody. Teleportation is a must.

I haven't mentioned removing HF Teleportation. It wouldn't hurt a gameplay if fake VC idols ports and cr would be fixed as i said. It would work only for personal use.

2. That's why HnH still has a small player-base. It's kinda hard game in compare with other games. That's why many of us falled in love with Haven. New generation of HnH players are forcing everything they are able to for every possible way just to be better than others, particulary without playing a game. It's all going into "code system". You want DH? Sure, just type in console /give me Dragon Helm q999 -> loading, dragon helm will be ready in XXX hours. Step 1: Making mining alts to auto mine metal - 94%.

Would also make it more dangerous and fun to go into an enemies allies territory because an ally would settle near another ally :P
CR's sux

That's exactly what i wanted to say by that :)

Potjeh was talking about removal of all teleportation.
You are just being a hipster. What you're actually saying is, "kids these days don't want to work their asses off to try to have fun in the game. Instead, they only want fun. What the hell?". There's a reason that the games are easier these days. Because they're more fun that way.
Don't get me wrong, I love H&H, and I don't bot in it. But I simply don't understand how removing crossroads would help at all.
And no, allies wouldn't settle near each other, nothing would change except there would be no crossroads.

Not really. Well, "kids" is maybe good word for this sort of players. Just try to imagine situations which would be forced by my suggestions - is alt port to VC for trade more funny, interesting than a trading trip with your friends securing you in case of possible attacks? Discovering world during journey? I guess you have never tried this style of playing, you were just smarter as a newbie and started in more developed playerbase at w4 (?). I had an opportunity to try what i'm suggesting - trust me, it was more fun. I wasn't looking at that as "omg, that's too hard". I just accepted reality and had fun :)

Removing crossroads would change this game almost in 20% of what we know today. That would be enough big reason for many old players to try again. Wasn't you wondering why so many players left? Almost 3 years without new things is pretty boring. Player cooperation and mean of village would rise up. It would make this game more safty for new players in same way (today, everyone can catch them. After that updates, only ppl in thier area would have a chance to kill them, somehow. Not sure how should i explain it ;/ ) More challenging, more dangerous and dynamic in village battels, and much, much more.

Ofc I understand what you mean!
Problem is, daily trades would be boring, security may be a fun thing but, this is not a game that should have it. There's nothing to explore. If you wanna explore look at the world map.
It would be the same. You walk through forests, mudflat, other stuff, nothing new.
The only reason you had more fun is, you WERE a newbie. You didn't realize the fact that, it gets boring after maybe 1 world.
Teleportation is a must.
RSKLV, the 'joke' wasn't funny. The mods aren't supposed to laugh, they're supposed to do exactly what they did: Tell you there's no private servers and lock the thread.

Completely removing HF port wouldn't work out due to a number of technicalities. A solution I could live with is Salem-like teleportation, minus Boston port of course. If distance actually meant something I think we'd see a world much friendlier to casual players, because they could simply settle far enough from people who run ganksquads of botted up characters and torture English language.

I'm completely in two minds when it comes to teleportation and x'rd's - part of what I like about Haven is it feels real, in so much as gathering resources, building, crafting and I like the fact that it requires effort, ofc, teleporting and x'rd's don't fit in with that and as such i've always found them a bit silly but, on the other hand, I think the game would soon become tedious if I did have to walk miles for every little thing and had no chance of quick escape when bumping into a group of aggresive players.
Some of us hermit so don't have the support of a group of players when travelling to trade for example, also things take much longer as a hermit, obviously, you are jack of all trades so to speak and both teleporting and x'rd's help with that in terms of time management.

I agree that the game would be more interesting without them but I don't agree that it would increase the player base, if that is what you are saying, in fact I think the complete opposite.

Somewhere there has to be a middle ground, though without more thought i'm not sure what that would be.

That's not exactly what i meant. Single big change would just bring some old players. For completly new players it's not difference at all, and they won't come as long as game won't be made for players, instead for devs + adverts - too many ppl just do not know about HnH.

Endgame for most players in a large village is pvp. It would be completely pointless grinding and grinding then just watch the world reset. Removing the ability to teleport would just make everyone want to walk for days to find stuff to kill. Teleportation removal wouldn't solve anything it would just aggravate pvpers and make them feal isolated till they lashed out on smaller villages in there surroundings. Large village fights would be quite dead though. W6 there was huge amounts of drama on the forums as people used the bugram to raid left and right. Even though it was laggy it made the game healthy in the regards of keeping people interested. The reason W7 didn't see as much drama in my opinion was because the bugram fix and some combat changes that made it harder to kill people that got the chance to run away. Imagine removing teleporting, it would literally kill pvp and turn haven into pure farmvill.

But as I'm saying that I do think teleport mechanics needs a major nerf. The fact people can jump across the world with 400 agi is just stupid to. It should be exponentially more expensive making it close to impossible going further then 1 to 2 SGs in a single jump. If people want to get around sorta speak they would need to make an effort and make teleport outposts and work for it. Randomly giving signs from village to village and connections is also heavily bugged. Placing down random villages for a CRs should be removed from the game as well, signs should only work inside a village.
