The guy is dead. Stop using keys. He had an inventory full of keyrings full of keys. Your keys!

well, now that we are touching the "securty" subject, can someone post an image on how does this "no keys but crossroad" works ? i dont really get how that is safer but i would like to know :D

CR = Crossroad.

Only use Gate to transport things you cannot do so be means of teleporting and only keep the keys on a gatekeeper alt.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

it basically means, that you extend your village claim outside your walls for some tiles. then you build one crossroads within the walls and one outside. from the outside one you take a sign and connect it to the inner crossroads. bingo - outside travel.

yuo don´t connect a sign from inner walls to the outside post though. to returm within city limits, you use the fast travel option.

Right. Although you probably would want a good amount of wine to 'fuel' the teleportation to the outside crossroad. Pretty much if the gates remain closed at all time, the only way to enter the village is through HF/Village porting or (god forbid) someone breaking through the walls.
