the first maplestory is completely boring but the character customization makes it worth the pain sometimes
that's why I play mabinogi to but I actually have fun playing mabinogi

Yeah, sounds about right. My problem with Mabi is that after nearly a decade the game has kinda worn thin. I've played it to death and most of the things that are left to do just aren't fun to do, such as grinding reforges until I get a perfect triple slot r1 reforge on all of my gear. Or Getting r1 Magic Craft/Blacksmith/H Engineering, maxing out the new holy knight skills, and things of that nature. I do love commerce though.

With that much ap you can be lazy and mostly use your brionac to train skills now. I personally like the ninja skills but I feel like they're a bit lackluster in terms of damage. Way of the gun + red upgraded weapons have insane damage output. I'm also from the beta but I'm not nearly that level.

Does Starbound still force you to do shitty quests (including that stupid base invasion with the boss at the end) before you can *really* start the game? I liked it before the major update, but after the update it just became a huge grind IMO.

Yes, quests are still mandatory. Ship upgrades are also mandatory now. It's awesome and I love revisiting boss levels for secret loot, such as the cat hidden in the mining colony.

I actually got bored (together with darki and others) of Starbound pretty quick like half a year ago because of the lack of actual content. You could basically rush through the entire thing in a couple of hours. Did that change?

Yeah, boss rushing isn't as simple anymore. Mind you if someone hands you all of the quest requirements and the best gear in the game you can still probably clear through everything in like an hour. Assuming you don't start with endgame loot though it takes a bit. Then again I spend a lot of time mining and building bases so my perception of time may be skewed. Wiring takes forever.
