I don't really think Raiders ingame are all assholes in reality...some may be, but just as much as some of the "good" people.

Hmm... I think murdering defenseless noobs and raiding for supplies are different personality traits regardless.

Not always true, you can be a weak skinny guy with no friends in real life, but in a game you can be the meanest baddest guy known, why? Cause they can. I have played many MMOs and met those ppl irl, and the person behind the screen isnt always the person you make them out to be.

I wasn't referring to physical appearance, obviously people look different IRL than their in game characters. Orcs and Turen don't actually play World of Warcraft.

I was more interested in the players personality. I think there is a relation to how you behave IRL, and what you do in game. I bet a lot of it is based on group mentality and peer pressure too.

Could be wrong, maybe the guys that murdered my noob characters were actually nuns and monks IRL.

Coming from someone who used to murder people on sight, most people dont kill because they are assholes. They kill because it is exciting in this game. To know that you're character might be permanantly dead because of your actions to someone else is a really exciting feeling. Plus, provoking a fight (a real fight) is fun.
