What does this mean for Mac and Linux users? There will be no support for your OS so you shouldn't hold your breath. This makes me very sad.

However!

I vote that Jorb and Loftar buy the rights to Terraria in a hostile takeover and remake the game in Java so it is available to everyone.

They were considering porting it to iPhone, Blue stated it somewhere (probably on the site). Not sure if it will actually happen. (Being in XNA brings up lots of problems actually)

It's very unfortunate. I also heard mention that XNA .NET can be compiled to .app/.pkg/.dmg, which can then allow you to use Mono XNA but a lot of the game's structure would need to be rewritten to support that. Sigh. My hunt for a cheap PC continues. (I really want to play this game.) :(

You got a Mac? You can't use bootcamp or whatever that crap is that lets you dualboot? Running Windows on a Mac should be honestly pisseasy.

That was one of my options I considered, but I don't how well it would work since I've never tried it. I don't want to go out and spend $150+ on a copy of Windows to find out that it doesn't run very well. I've read mixed reviews on Bootcamp and I mostly pay attention to the bad ones.

It doesn't keep the bosses in, but it keeps your ammo in so you can get it back quickly which is useful for retreiving shuriken and bouncing missed grenades. also getting above the eater of worlds. It also keeps annoying peon monsters out of your way.

I dont know if anyone answered you earlier burg, but yes, the defense for obsidian skulls stacks.

Easiest way to get a gun is to find a corrupted areas, go to the bottom of the chasm with dynamite and throw it so the spheres get destroyed by the blast, you're almost guaranteed to get a musket with some musket balls, which will unlock the arms dealer.

Dynamite also got me eater of worlds bosskill as well, it's kinda OP.

The only thing dynamite appears to not break is Hellstone itself. That said the game isn't terribly hard otherwise. The Eater of Worlds isn't too bad once you have gold armor.

It doesn't destroy obsidian which seems right to me.

It doesn't destroy dungeon blocks.
It used to destroy obsidian.
