Maybe I worded that badly.

I mean that, since we get features bit by bit, instead of all at once, we're effectively testing features and pointing out the bugs before the next feature is released, instead of in usual development cycles when a LOT of content is dropped at once.

Why is that bad?
If many different features are implemented at once, bugs could be overlooked.
If only one feature is implemented at a time, we can spot problems much easier and faster.

And only because professional software companies program a whole game first and test it later, doesn't mean hobby programmers should work that way.

Ha! You may think so.
We test things bit by bit here, too. Every time a new feature or patch is added, it needs to be cross-referenced with all the other patches of it's generation. Each new version needs to have every feature and fix tested again.

In fact, H&H doesn't really have anything much in terms of a rigorous testing program. For one thing, I'm pretty sure that even basic OS support hasn't been thoroughly tested. To do that you need to run the console on every possible OS and test all the basic actions- all the possible graphics changes, loading and dropping files, latency... And that's just the console!

I'd love to take some time being paid to test H&H.
Surprise.

Imagine this...

Boat release day everyone runs to the nearest tree and begins carving out a canoe, timmy wins best carved canoe in the village.

Everyone gathers with their canoes and heads toward the water, boats are gonna be so much fun! People are singing and laughing.

Finally they reach the water and the first boats are launched. Timmy is speeding around in circles a giant grin on his face.

Suddenly boats start sinking left and right as a small fraction of the people make it back to shore as the gargling screams of those who were too hasty slowly die, due to low constitution of course,

CANT WAIT!

lol but seriously I'm scared to swim in this game

I'm all for the boatpocolipse.

However, I think that whenever anyone says "I'M ON A BOAT" while in a canoe, they should be hit by Devly Lightning.
Surprise.

What I would really like to see is larger buildings(like cabins but at sizes of like 10x10). But after boats, ofcourse. I can imagine awesome trade routes.

no i think we should slip two-three months warning before reset but say that itll be a week or two so nobody feels like logging in and the population dwindles to nothing

They should give the warning 1 hour before actually resetting it for maximum lulz and raeg.
Jorb: O hay gaiz gess wut, reset lol.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

I'm excited about boats, but only about as excited as a person can get about a boat that's going to take iron I don't have, out of a mine we can't find.

I need some bog iron to come along with it to get me over the top.

Hmm, and how are you so sure that all the boats will require Iron, or metal at all.
