Just take a look at it. Then take a look at the new one. No comparison.

Other than ads, I don't see that much functionally different - though relying on Wikia is bad enough, I suppose, to warrant a move.;)

My suggestion, therefore, is we do one more import from Wikia (compare to recent pages and any differences ask, new pages etc, whatever), then wipe the Wikia and post a redirect there saying "Visit our new Wiki!" -- Also change the Newbie "resource" pages.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.

Haven't read through the pages, but to the OP: yes, I did use it, yes I'd like to use it and I applaud your efforts ;)

I'd use it but it just seems very unfriendly and time consuming to update things like a table or that infobox

It would have proven your point much better and also proven you really do understand how to fight people and not only how to slaughter helpless sheep.

One thing I did like about Wikia is that when editing an infobox, it brings up an interface with all the fields as Text Boxes - you did not have to guess or build formatting like you do in the new one, and missing fields were blank in the Wikia interface, not missing entirely (so you didn't know what they were titled if you weren't familiar with them).

I'll see what I can do about that. Also after much effort, math tags work now. And to those that tried to upload images, sorry, should be working now.

Yay for math tags.

However, despite any (perceived or real) significant superiority of the ringofbrodgar.com wiki vs the Wikia, people are still updating the Wikia like mad.

The ROB is out of date already. :( When can we basically figure out how to go onto the main page and direct people to this Wiki, or what can we do about this?

It really seems like this project is doomed even if we have DOG on it, because people don't know about this one - or aren't willing to change.

Okay looking for suggestions on what people want to see.

My current plan is to renovate the organization:
Terrain Objects - All terrain objects
- (?Name?) - Mobile terrain objects
- Containers
- Structures - Immobile terrain objects
-- Buildings - Enterable structures

Inventory Objects - Any object that fits in your inventory
- Usable (Can click to incite some menu or use)
-- Equipment
-- Food
- Crops (some also fall under food/usable)
- Liquids

Creatures
- Domesticated
- Wild (Does this even matter?)

I'm missing something I bet, feel free to add to it.

Anyhow for the most part these are just to break things up so that I can make infoboxes for each type for the differences they may need.
I'd also still like feedback on Infobox versus full page for information. I prefer full page but so many seem to prefer infoboxes. :V

Forageables, nettles aren't food.
