It's not like the original rail was any good.

I like this world better than W4, but then again I haven't played HnH a ton.

I like curios, but I hope that in a future world we could see a mix between the old and new system. So that you can gain curiosities through study, but also discover like it was in the past worlds. I think that when doing a repetitive task such as cutting trees, the LP could decrease after each use and after a 5 or 6 times of doing the task it would reach zero LP - it could reset back to LP gain every 6 hours or so. I'd like to see a balance of the systems, but I like that they're working on a system to prevent bots.

Been suggested a lot.

Also very easily macroable.

That's a shame. Curiosities are fine in my opinion, but it would be nice to see a way to include some discovery too.

I do agree that the world sort of lacks something, and what I think it is is a sense of competition, in other worlds we always had storys of people's raids, battles and stats, this world is full of people quitting so you feel like the world is gradually emptying, so whereas last worlds you thought "I've been gone for a week, time to grind for 16 straight hours so I'm not to far behind", we start thinking like, " I've been gone for a week, meh, all I can do is put on some curio's"

It isn't really enough for most people to keep entertained with the game, but for me it works great, because you have so much extra time to interact with the world, and there is not always this hurry, you can just walk around on getting to know your land without a map, and know your still making as much lp as most people.

Also; in W4 we had brome next to the polish, then broholm for reset...you mixed it up in OP meh

The ability to grind ahead or grind to catch up is indeed totally gone and it's a very fun aspect.

Curios don't bring any FUN to the game, what they do is let you experience the FUN in the rest of the game, something grinding does not let you do.

The problems I currently see with going back or letting any parts of shine through:
1)You will grind as much as possible if a combat character, if a hermit you will grind as much as possible to keep it up.
2)Being 'smart' to grind more doesn't usually work, someone eventually figures it out or it leaks out, and now your method of staying ahead is gone.
3)Too much emphasis on personal stats still. - Will change with combat system I hope.

Now here's the thing about curios, within the curio system there are only a few ways to grind:
1)Trolls - If their skulls are truly so much LP, then 'grinding' trolls is a very important aspect of leveling up and a village that does so and one that doesn't will be on different levels.
2)Rare foragables - Foragables that are rarer like perfect hole, bluebell, prince charming. These will make a difference and actively 'grinding' to find these will make a differnece.

With that said there are all of 5 ways to do that:
River Pearl
Troll Skull
Bluebell
Peculiar Flotsam (Kinda?)
The Perfect Hole
Shocked Frog (Prince Charming)
Rabid Jackalope

These are pretty much the only ways to bring your LP/Hour past the 'norm', is by continually hunting or acquiring these, AKA 'grinding' them.

We need more of these rare ones that are actually ANY fucking good. Wondrous Woodshaving is shit for example.

I almost wish you still got some LP for killing stuff. Players (i know u can plunder their mentory but i mean instant LP) and animals. Its not macroable, or at least ive never heard of a bot that could hunt. But im fine with how it is too
