Here are my suggested fixes.

- Koya's non shift buildable CR suggestion (put cost back to what it was)
- 3 second teleport timer but make it like drinking water. so you can click move then teleport so you can be running and if they cannot re-engage you for 3 second then you teleport.

Here are my suggested fixes.

- Koya's non shift buildable CR suggestion (remove steel and use any common metal to build with or attest hard metal)
- 3-5 second teleport timer. (we know you need to make a teleporting box to teleport...so you cant be moving to use such box :p )

Get organized with other noobs, and still get rofl-stomped. I've got 6 guys i started playing this game with about a week ago, and even if we were all together, i dont think our fists/slings and leather armor is going to do a damn thing against a single tricked out PK.

As far as I can tell, our only options are 1) stay inside the walls and play farmville until someone burns down our little claim or 2) become some larger village's bitch, doing their bidding for scraps. Neither option sounds very fun.

n00bs should have some chance at survival, some means to defend themselves, currently i have none.

I would like to hear a response from Jorbtar come out of this thread but it hasn't happened yet. Any point that's been made is valid when it comes to the crossroads. Noob hermits who want nothing to do with trading will find it nearly impossible to leave without a key now, and the HF/logout timer only makes farming into total shit. CRs should just be made so that you can walk between them or not shift+clicked into position. I *sort of* understand where the metal in the mats came from, (the base always looked metal to me) but the cost is just insanity. 2 nuggets at max would still be a pain in the ass but at least it's a little more affordable.

Stop being useless in combat or develop some economic power. Bonus points if you do both.

you know, i can compare the problems of extreme pk's to a similar problem we had back in the days of UO

a guild i ran ended up beating a heap of pk's because of a macro i developed, and a lovdly little thing called explosion potions, numpad hooked up to something like ahk, pressing 6 would activate, cook and send a potion to that sides quadrant, etc, if i got really stuffed, press 5 and it did a cluster bomb. aced the best pk's using this and a few friends as enthusiastic but otherwise useless bodyshields

the potions were annoying to throw, you had to right click something or other to activate, then they'd start counting from 3, to throw em you had to pick up, then drag drop, the speed of the drag would determine throwing power and therefore distance, accurate usage was only achievable by arcade junkies

this never became a commonly used thing, but it worked for my guild really well. mind you if J&L implemented explotion potions aka grenades, i could just see suicide bomber alts becomming a terrifying reality

I only mention this, because as was mentioned, pk's are now a real threat and not just a hindsight lesson about going afk outdoors

Last world I started my village as a noob a long time into the world. By the time i had to quit due to work, we had found gold, made q104 steel, q100+ trees, etc... all without owning any resource nodes. I was lucky to have certain very organized villagers. We were not "powerful" but we were certainly successful. Don't blame the game for you getting roflstomped, its because you don't know how to play efficiently.

But this is offtopic, and we should both stop.

I would also really like to hear from the devs about these changes. But i doubt that will happen :(
