I had previously thought about coming back and taking a look but in all honesty, lol, this thread actually put me off.
I've also spoken to some who have tried it out again recently and whilst there is quite a bit of new content, basic game play doesn't seem to have improved that much and they got bored pretty quickly, I think out of the two games Haven has more going for it with regard to long term play and the new version will bring with it extra content, I don't think we need to worry too much about people trying out Salem.

Ah, yes indeed, no one can truly quit a game as great as HnH.
Hm, this thread does have much negativity and saltiness. That could defer some of the oldie. Still, as stated, our goal is to present it to new players, not oldie and quitted people.
I could say that whether that game is boring or not is a matter of taste: I have seen first posts claiming they are in love after one or two hours. Much likely the people who try it recently either miss the "new method" and stick to the old_fashion aka "boring" way of playing, or are not into sandbox. Or they would prefer something simpler, perhaps.

But it's solid isn't it. It has "Salem" in its name so no one can say that we're not connected. We can go on in length on how the two games are alike/different, sure. But that would be too much for an obvious statement.
