Let's just say I'm not particularly jealous. :)

The leaner I can keep the code, the better. 90k lines is already too much. :)

yes - deterrent examples like Vista :P
(maybe with the exception of Linux Kernel where the mass of drivers code lines makes it suitable for a lot of machines)

Perhaps, but I must admit I'm not in full agreement with Linus that it's a good idea to keep every single driver and filesystem implementation inside the kernel's own source tree. Not that I can't see the arguments, but just sayin'.

Well, I actually didn't; separately maintained module source trees still make a monolithic kernel.

I might have thought it, though. Tanenbaum is mai waifu. ^^

I think it's going to be possible to respawn at your previous character's hearth, as now.

If that happens, then alts will ultimately thrive.
If, on the other hand, after death you are not spawned near your previous character (and you lose all your land), death will be much more devastating.

I can't find any solution to this problem...
