That only removes a small part of the problem, the biggest use of alts is for dividing related skills between characters so that if your miner dies, you can still atleast craft good quality stuff with your other alts, and also using bots.

If, on the other hand, after death you are not spawned near your previous character (and you lose all your land), death will be much more devastating.

I can't find any solution to this problem...

A decent solution as long as the rest of the mechanics discourage the use of alts. If not, then one could always walk back into their original base with a fresh alt.

If that happens, then alts will ultimately thrive.

Since we're at it, what's your position on true permadeath, loftorb? Meaning no LP transfer between heirs, and barely no difference between a fresh char and a heir.

You could also craft a crib (baby bed) in your house and "feed" it with curios.
When you die, your enherit will have the LP of that "child", sort of you have learn him part of your knowledge while he grows ( "baby"'s intel would always be basic one, so tiny curios box ).

(18:29:03) <Rawrz> wagons or bust
(18:29:28) <loftar> Well, hopefully the new carts might make you rethink that. :)
(18:29:45) <Phaen> what's different about them?
(18:29:56) <Rawrz> he wont tell us
(18:30:04) <Rawrz> he will just tease you, dont fall for his lies phaen
(18:30:09) <loftar> Well, they're a lot more lenient with regards to how they limit your speed.
(18:30:28) <loftar> I'll let you discover the specifics, but I think they should at least be useful in this variation.
(18:30:43) <loftar> Previously, even I never used them since they sucked so badly.
(18:30:59) <Rawrz> i used em a bit, i just had roads
(18:31:02) <Rawrz> but wagons were the greatest
(18:31:18) <Rawrz> all that space
(18:32:12) <loftar> Sure, I'm sure wagons are always better. :)
(18:32:30) <loftar> Ah yes, though, we also made the carts hold more, though.
(18:32:34) <loftar> They hold 6 objects now.

But can I put a cart in a cart or a boat in a boat or a boat in a cart or a cart in a boat??!!? All inside of a wagon, of course.

It would be neat to be able to put boat on cart. Of course you can't do that because that would allow doubling the carts capacity. It is probably beyond current code's capacity to allow boats on carts only when empty. Other option would be to make boat take all slots in the cart.

New cart sounds nice, if that is the cart. It would be cool if wagons got a update along those lines.

Perhaps allow a maximum of 2 or 3 boats to be put in a wagon.
