Bear outside my house, can't leave.

That bear. It's waiting outside my house. Can't leave my house, it's sitting on my front doorstep. Refuses to leave, and I'm far, far too weak to even consider fighting it (Hell, an ant knocked me out a couple hours ago). What do I do? I have food and supplies to wait it out inside my house, but how long will it take for this stalker monstrosity to leave me be? It's a level 7 or 8 bear, I think. It's what I get for living in the middle of nowhere! It seriously just appeared from east of my little claim and just charged me as I was putting things in my kiln.

A palisade helps you out the next time, for now, just log off for 15 minutes like Sarge said :)

Get a bigger claim. "Monsters" as you call them don't spawn within your claim. You can also as you didn't specify surround yourself with at least the basic walls so bears, boars, and other things just don't walk on in. As Sarge suggested a simple logging off for a while will make the bear vanish.

This happened a while ago, so I've well and truly dealt with it since. I've started work on a palisade (though it was slow, as I was having trouble getting the necessary amount of leather) and my claim extends a fair distance around my house anyway. From what I've heard, village claims lower animal levels, but not personal claims, so most of the animals I see are lv. 7 to 9.

Also, 'monstrosity' was just me being flowery ;3

I will have to argue that point.I have a full palisade around my village and claimed land and yet I log on and find foxes and boars inside it all the time.No open gates or missing wall any where. It is a pain but it still happens.

animals do spawn on village claim ( from that what I had seen), You have to have a personal claim to avoid animal respawns

I've noted them spawning even on personal claims a few times :|

Animals don't spawn on personal claims but they can spawn a bit outside of it and walk in.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.
