Spekkof is a Thief

Postby Erik_the_Blue » Tue Jul 21, 2009 7:47 am

Let it be known that this vile fiend was recently found rooting around many of the containers in the outer portion of my camp. Some hides appear to have been taken, but he appears to have been systematically searching all container groups and structures outside my walls. Unfortunately, he ran before I could administer proper discipline. He appears to be a new character, and did not respond when I challenged him. There are plenty of thief clues around my camp should a ranger prove interested, but he has yet to do enough damage to me for me to have a vested interest in his demise.

Why did you leave stuff you cared about outside your walls?

Not an interrogation, just wondering.

Because my walls encompass a relatively small portion of my camp so not everything can reasonably fit within. Furthermore, this is the first time I've actually been hit by a thief, so I've been somewhat complacent until now.

There's no reason for your wall to encompass a small area of your claim, As each individual segment of a wall is not expensive. It is the corner posts that are concerning in terms of resources and no matter how large your wall is they still require the same amount, as long as you keep a wall 4 sided it shouldnt be an issue.

Mind you, not everyone plays for considerable lengths of time (or has multiple players playing their character). While my wall may seem cheap to some, it was quite expensive from my point of view.

Apologies for the double post, but the cretin has struck again, taking some seeds and a bucket of honey from the containers associated with my fields. While he has yet to do any serious damage, I was annoyed enough to trace the scents back to his camp, which I found to be shared with two fellows going by "Trollfar" and "Epzo". I am now accumulating a bounty to be placed upon whichever of them should next steal from my claim.

To Spekkof, Trollfar, and Epzo:
If you are in need of aid to get started, I imagine we could arrange some trade which would be to your benefit. Stealing from my property is not acceptable, however, and I am perfectly willing to hire a ranger who has no qualms about killing thieves.

If he really is, my whole village will bring their battleaxes and beat the crap out of him.
