Warning: Thief with hearthfire in blocked cabin

Postby stardust » Wed Jul 22, 2009 2:19 pm

Tonight I was robbed of all metal, metal tools, silk, non-cow-foodstuff, vinegar, wort/beer and curd/cheese (I was a bit too lazy to build a palisade around my cabin, now I pay for it  ). I have ranging and learned a bit tracking, so I took some of the many theft clues and tracked the thiefs hearthfire (he was not logged in). I tracked it to a cabin, but the entrance was blocked by another cabin (there are indeed five cabins built back to front), so I could not summon him to get the thiefs name.

I fear that this thief will continue to steal unpunished (until cabins can be destroyed), and since he is taking beer, he might gain enough strength to destroy palisades and later walls...

i dont think you can build cabins infront of other cabins to the point you cant squish in, and get inside.. could be wrong though. I've seen people attempt it and i was still able to get inside.

I've opened the place up. Feel free to kill anything in there and steal anything located in those cabins. Located just a short bit west of the RoB. Happy hunting.

And if anyone thinks that's unfair of me, well, life sucks.

is this a response to the vandals that tore up RoB again after we fixed it yesterday

I've seen quite a few "gently caress you's" coming from Devs but this one is certainly one for the records.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

This is a response to abusing game mechanics to stay alive. Hopefully a fix will come next dev session.

so there must be a reason to break that, even if its just because they were pissed
