map degradation?

Postby Zirikana » Tue Aug 17, 2010 2:50 am

Not sure if this is in the wrong forum, but what the heck

I look at older maps and i'm missing a lot of chunks that I know used to be filled in. The rest of the map loads after a few seconds, but those last few bits never fill in. Are in-game maps (from cart. skill) intended to decay/go blank over time? Or is this just a server lag issue? If the latter, oh well, lag happens. If the former.... what a godawfully terrible idea....

I think they go blank if not looked at for 2 weeks. Parts not filling in, its the lag.

Not now. I did try that a couple of times, but that was a long time ago.

I kinda figured it would have to be some kind of connection or cacheing issue.

Anyways, wagons are SWEEET for cartography (and for many other things as well :D)
