The first thing I remember was the blinding flash, a sharp pain, then it was gone in the same instant. I stood in a forest. the dream, or maybe it wasn't was playing out in my head. maybe they were just hallucinations but that guys hat stays with me to this night. I moved outward into the darkness, gently feeling my way forward through the underbrush. It was hard to walk quickly due to the thickness of the growth. luminescent beams filtered in through the boughs of the fir trees as i set foot in a much more open part of he strange place. I remember thinking "where the hell am I?" several times per minute, and even out loud occasionally.
I rose from my finished creation, dusting the dirt from my pants away, and admired my handiwork. Making wicker baskets wasn't all that complicated in fact, so I set out to do something more ambitious. Somewhere to sleep would be crucial for survival, and keeping my rested and in good health. The branches were easy to harvest, and the weaving technique was similar to the baskets. A couple stakes in the ground and i had taken my first step towards a habitable wilderness.
Rumbling from inside my belly was a constant reminder of my most important objective. Food. I was fairly sure that the next couple days would be spent in search of anything i could eat. Berries, mushrooms, anything. One hundred paces from my camp is where i came upon my first rabbit, i chased after with reckless abandon, scaring it into the underbrush. the next of his kin were not so lucky, only realizing my presence when my hands closed around his fuzzy throat. The pop his neck made was incredibly satisfying, as was the meat. This routine continued on until i met the first real adveristy in my travels. The Boars.
((Why yes, I have blatantly stolen this idea from a thread posted previously, and if it offends you...Lol. I thought it was clever and amusing and wanted to do my own. if you like i'll keep going making it as accurate an account of my playthrough as possible. If not, shrug.))
