technical problem...

Postby ElCoyote » Wed Aug 25, 2010 7:09 pm

Well guys, sorry for my not best English, it's not my native language.

About the problem - i used to play H&H for 10 or 13 days and everything was runnin' good, than i had to re-install my windows because of some problems, after I've done it i can not play anymore, at least more than 2-3 minutes, after this time the game just stops - i can move the camera, but can not move my character, can not open or close game menu, can not do any action etc.
Don't really know where to search the problem - used to turn off my firewall, re-installed Java but nothing helps...

People help please!!! My Chicken's and Silk moths gonna die !!!!!

Have you tried turning the machine on and off?

sure, many times...it seems to me that after re-installing my windows XP something changed in my network adapters, looks more like a kind of connection problem...

one guy from the forum advised me to do this:

In case you use pachos client: disable the IRC function.
In case you're behind a router: download Dr.TCP and set MTU for network interface to 1492.

i've made it with MTU - helped a bit but still got all the troubles

That guy was me.

See that you get a better uplink (or disable filesharing stuff while trying to play H&H).
My best guess is that it's a crappy router (or something network related) which leads to dropped packets.
In case you crash: post the details from the crash report (click 'details' on the requester)

i don't use any file sharing stuff, i also believe it's something network related, i don't have a router, just a cable modem. The last speed test showed 8571.4 kbit/s. A soon as th server will be back on-line I'll try to find out the crash report.

Interesting things i noticed:

1. After i restart my computer there's a higher chance the the game will run, but just until I enter and than exit any building
2. When i start the game by using native start file the game runs VERY SLOW
3.After the game stopped because of unknown reason, ther's almost no chances to re-login fast - usually the game stops than at the character menu and the only chance is to restart the PC

Thought solution found, but was wrong

after i did this:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
in the file called "hosts" shuld be added
213.101.208.103 sh.seatribe.se

i have entered and exited my house twice everything was fine but than stopped again (((
