I was playing another game, to take my mind off of the taming for the next 20 minutes so until the next taming sequence as to make it less boring, when suddenly I hear the "CRUNCH!!" of an attack landing on something. I click back into the H&H window to see a heavily armored guy with a bow sailing away, the auroch I was taming lying dead in the gate I trapped it in, and in the local area chat window I see "lol, you should just kill it." "hey" "are you afk" and "your welcome."
Think of it this way. Its the cow and not you who died when you went afk =P lol
You've obviously never gone through the annoying bullshit and waste of time taming requires. Going afk is almost the only thing that maintains your sanity.
@OP - I highly recommend getting the herd to follow you into a pen you build just inside your walls if at all possible. Or stay away from river herds.
oh yes, insanity inducing indeed. thats a good idea actually, but i usually kill the whole herd except for one. I guess I should not do that after all though. the "lure them into your walls" method you suggest is actually how I got my pigs. you usually have to lure them in though don't you?
also @ciroth: I see what you mean. I was lucky that he didn't attack me instead. Im usually very wary of going afk becuase as we know, the server sometimes boots you when you go afk. I never play fullscreen games when I tame animals. I play those small windowed games, like N or minecraft. that way I can see the little circle at the top when it turns into the combat display.
