An easy way to get Learning Points

Postby Tuxman007 » Sun Aug 29, 2010 5:37 am

Just thought of a great idea: cutting up stumps.

Instead of fish-grinding, find a town that has a ton of stumps in the area, and dig em up. They might even thank you for removing the obstacle.

It yields 62 learning points and all you need is basic lumberjacking...

I am right to assume that no one cares about stumps... right?

Try actually playing the game.
I think it's made of bubbles and hate.

err...?

I do, thats how I figured this out. I spawned in an area that was completely clear-cut and started removing the stumps. Great LP.

Am I missing something?

Chopping stumps is slow as all hell and pretty bad LP you'd be better off clearcutting which is almost as bad but at least faster.

but seriously who cares about stumps? The towns might even be better off with you getting rid of them

Perhaps it's best not to grind LP and to actually strive to accomplish something. You will discover LP flying by.
Do we have a problem? Why dont you punch me in the face as hard as you can. Pour some honey on me, let me see you get really mad! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmAZfLRqIpI 1:10

I always clear away stumps. Not for LP but because it looks messy to have them scattered about. Like people have said don't grind just play. Have a goal in mind and work towards it, you will soon find you have enough LP for everything you want/need.

Getting LP in the process of achieving another goal is great, but if the goal itself is LP then grinding it the fastest way possible is best.

I don't really like the LP mechanics anyway. Why does making 10,000 buckets teach me to be a better swordsman?

edit: 10,000 buckets did teach me how to murder, and 15,000 bricks made me WANT to murder, so I guess it does work!
