ninja reset?

Postby Zirikana » Sat Sep 11, 2010 5:52 pm

Hmmm.... servers are shutting down, the "saving map xx/yyy of world blah-blah-blah" are completely different numbers than they usually are on the home page....

Did we just get a map wipe and reset without an announcement?

I think i would have mixed feelings about that...

Anyways, what do those numbers really mean? Are the "worlds" the main map plus caves and houses? There used to be ~3000 "worlds" in total, and now there's much less, leading me to fear/hope for a reset. Just curious...

[Edit: Never mind, no restart... forgive my impatience... but i'm still curious about those numbers]

Those numbers only relate to the currently loaded maps, not the total amount of maps that exist. As such, they are going to differ between different runs.

There are other reasons for wanting to reset. And regardless of whether you like it or not, this game's in alpha stage, so you better get used to resets :D

Thanks for the info loftar. I'll stop treating that shutdown info as some kind of crystal ball into the state of the hearthlands now :P
