Java issues w/ Pacho's

Postby Zion » Sun Sep 12, 2010 3:45 am

Ok, when I try and open Pacho's client all I get is a little black box that pops up for about 1/2 a second. Suggestions?

If you're using the downloadable client and Windows 7 or Vista, the .bat file references the wrong location for java, and so it just doesn't run. You need to edit the bat file and replace "java" with "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java.exe"

That'll probably work. It might vary by system.

Or you can try editing the bat file, and adding a line that says "pause" at the end. This will allow you to see what the problem is.

Ok, and how do I fix what you suggested? And I have Windows 7 on a 64 bit laptop. I get a lot of text in the command prompt but have no idea what it means.

1. In the folder that contains the game file, there's one called 'run.bat'
2. Right click it and select 'Edit'
3. Remove everything and replace it with this:
C:\windows\syswow64\java.exe -Xms512m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar sh.seatribe.se
4. Save and run it. If it doesn't work you'll have to do a full computer search for java.exe

Ok, tried it and still nothing, but that is the correct file location for it. Anything else you can suggest?
Also, the first thing that pops up says:

Exception in thread "Haven main thread" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\Users\Wes\Desktop\haven-64bit-windows-full\jogl.dll: Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform

EDIT: Tried the 32-bit version of it IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BITCH YEAH!!!! Thanks for telling me how to fix this stuff, I LOVEZ YOU!
