someone in the mortalonline irc said he was playing this game and i said hell why not? let's give it a try
i'll be creating my character now i hope i don't get killed but don't expect an easy time killing me just because i'm the new girl in town

Hello. I assume this is as close to a right place there can be to post such things.

Welcome. Don't be discouraged by the large learning curve and dive right in.. theres tons of stuff you can do if your willing to invest some time and effort.
Hopefully noone will kill you for no reason... not that many people do that sort of thing [as doing so makes their character vulnerable to being tracked down and killed by someone else], however it may indeed happen.

Welcome to the game! It can be a bit confusing at first, but you get used to it. My advice it to make full use of the "How Do ?I" section of the forum.

Welcome new member! You will fit in just fine! Talk to Raephire, he is a great guy who is much like yourself in terms of personality/attitude/etc.!

Be careful, he can be so overwhelming that some situations get furry!

I recommend joining a town while you're getting yourself started, Laketown is taking immigrants (we're straight east from RoB on the westernmost point of the waterline)

Other towns would probably also be happy to have you.

Hope you don't get turned off by some of the snarkier forum posts, in game people tend to be really polite and nice to each other (in general)
