I had a boar Problem...

Postby Skallious » Sat Sep 18, 2010 6:52 am

I am a newbie and quite frankly I had gotten tired of boars randomly chasing me to my impending doom. So I decided to build a safety wall incase a boar attacked me, I could run through the gate and be safe. only problem... I couldn't get out.

With some quick engineering and a couple of old parlor tricks, this is how I solved my problem!

Heathlings one! Boar... well ignoring all of the other countless times a boar has knocked me unconscious, and the many other people who have met their maker at the hand of the mighty boar... anyways... BOAR Zero!

Good. Now try doing this with a bear.

Easier solution would have just build 1 gate and when a boar chase you and trap it at the gate and either snipe it or run away.

Gate trapping is so tough when you still have low strength and con... one missed step and you're KOed, and heaven help you if there's lag.

I've always wanted to try building a boar-trap like this... i wanted to make a long tunnel between fences with gates at both ends... but your setup is way cooler than mine would have been!

I'm a bit concerned whether you get the sarcasm in the bear post or not...

You do know bears just knock down roundpole fences and other inferior objects right?

Or you could've just made a long enough rectangle fence with 2 doors - you keep both doors open, lure the boar inside, wait till it comes to the other gate, slam it in it's face, run to the door it came through and close it (since running beats boar speed). Voila :)
