And the world isn't that big...

Postby PLEP » Sun Sep 19, 2010 1:49 pm

I used to live in husked area of S2W1 supergrid. In a place where you can find alot of abandoned villages, old stumps and so on, left after human activities. One good day I decided to find some more remoted place, where possibly no footprints at all, untouched nature and unexplored mines. Someone told me that if I'm looking for this kind of place, then south is my shot. Leaving everything behind I grabbed my boat and went down the river to the south... In about an hour and half I was freezed in place, thinking what the hell, realising that it is a southern world's edge. I didn't even feel that I'm remote enough from everyone, since there were some villages in about 5-10 minutes of boating from me. Hell, I didn't think I would ever say that, but the world is damn small.
Any ideas where should I go to find what I'm looking for?

Your best shot is to try a border of SG. Try to go as far away from water as possible, because water provides the fastest way to travel. People are generally lazy, so you'll see a lot more villages next to river than in the middle of forest. Also.. don't go to any obvious places such as the "end of the world" because it lures a lot of people.

So.. somewhere between Center and the Final Border. Then locate a deep forest with no water nearby.

Why don't you expand the world?
.....If that's what they say here on "Earth"

It takes about 5 hours to boat from one end of the world to the other. You saying that the world isn't big just reveals how little of it you've explored, not that it is actually small.

edit: also it's frozen in place, not freezed.

I don't say that I explored ALOT. Althought 3 SGs out of 8 (or 9) from one edge to the other one, that I traveled is enough to judge. Honestly didn't even notice how I overcame this distance. So, yeah, felt that the world isn't that big.

I was just offering him some advice. It's not that easy to get the tenses correct if you haven't learned them in school.
