Basically, everyone is excited about W4, and no, I don't wanna start another one of these threads. I just wonder... why don't people roll new chars NOW, instead of fixating themselves on the goddamn reset? Unfortunately school and moving are taking away 99% of my free time now, but if I had more, I'd start a new guy just to see what's out there nowadays. Just for fun, to live as a noob hermit again. That funny part of the game, where you try different fishing combos, trap boars in gate fences and shoot at them with a crappy q10 sling.
Now, I know all the mines have been taken blah blah blah. There's a dozen alternatives to metal, and when one reaches q level where metal is absolutely necessary, then there's the long trek to Nople where one can sell forageables for metals. As for me, I'm pretty much endgame but still haven't had the opportunity to make a single piece of hardened leather, bone clay or porcelain stuff. They might be crap, decay fast or be useless in general, but what isn't, compared to q850 thanes? Sure, sitting at a table eating 800 cavebulbs per session is a FUCKING GRIND, but that's no reason to call the game itself boring... I agree that endgame has no truly entertaining goals, but why not stick to the ever-expanding basics then?
All in all, I was just wondering why a reset is needed to be enabled to start anew and try stuff. Hope you don't mind if it got too long.
