Perma-death

Postby Neptjunoue » Fri Oct 22, 2010 10:08 pm

This is not a complaint about perma-death nor is it a request or suggestion either but a question, possibly rhetorical as well.

How would Haven and Hearth be different if the perma-death was changed or removed? What changes and behavior of the various factions would occur? Would the meta-game be changed as well?
Reaper, Reaper, that's what people call me! Why?

Is that a fact? Well, you're a goddamn Philistine!

I think people would build a lot less, because people would be a lot more inclined to break everything.
Big projects would be few because the chances of it being ruined by someone else would be much larger.

Why care about life if there is
no true death? why value beauty
when you're imortal, there will
be more of it's kind, destroy it
and move on in your search for a
reason.

This game honestly would not be worth playing without perma-death.

At the first impression, it seems to be the reverse but a lot of the people here says others. What is the reason of this, if I may ask?
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.
