I was banned permanetly for taking a log

That's right folks, I received a permanent ban for taking a log of all things.

I joined this game 30 minutes ago, played for only 5 minutes. I log in, get my clothes on and see a public mine, so I look inside a forge with nothing in it but logs and snag one of the two there. I then get proceeded to be furiously questioned by 4 others and then gang beaten until my character was knocked out senseless. To top it off I was in the bathroom when they did it, completely defenseless. I would like to appeal this ban because I was new, this is completely ridiculous, I didn't even know that logs were rare nor that it was stealing when I even took the log.

Please consider this request, I'm sure it's not that out of this world.

One of the guys name that beat me down was "alien" or something, also fairly new.

And get away from Brogdar quickly. Check out the map, find a relatively unoccuied place in the first ring, and move there. (I count the center as 0, not 1, as it is technically a circle, not a ring.)

Indeed, we do not ban people. I imagine it would be a cold day in hell before we'd actually ban someone. Censure is not exactly on our top-list of stuff we enjoy. As Namer said, it was "just" a server crash that happened to occur at the same time. You should be quite able to connect again now.
