While you're down there, check out pityr's place. It's what a settlement looks like, your place looked like a storeroom or a gallery. A place to stroke your own ego for collecting things, and that's why I robbed you and not pityr just an hour before. It's also why you think you're so special that people are going to care that you (just you) got robbed when towns get razed each week and lose much more than a little metal and and handful of pretty string. My advice to you, is rebuild and invest more in your character, that can't be stolen, and if you're robbed again you won't have to ask how to proceed.

No, Coriander sacrificed his life to serve as cautionary tale of how not to utilize the personal belief system. He was "stolen" the same way a moving bus steals from someone when they attempt to stop it with their forehead.
