Thinking about building squatter town

Postby Supernaut_K » Wed Dec 01, 2010 12:08 am

I moved my hearthfire to this dead city, once known as Fort Ausdauer.

Been thinking about lot of things since moving in. One of the idea is this;

How would it be if I build squatter town in this ruins?

I heard that lots of new players like me have trouble joining new town, So it would be nice if we make a community. :D

I mean, come on. There's quite a difference between starting in wilderness and starting in ruins. :roll:

I think your main obstacle would be remaining a squatter town. It would be very hard not to do anything all day. :lol:

Well, I'm not going to recommend people to stay.

The point of idea is building beginner town, so people can get used to H&H, grab gear more easily- Until they join elsewhere.

So is this basically a recruitment thread (because then I am going to move it) or do you just want some thoughts on the general idea of building that kind of town?

Just gathering general idea. I need to check how many people are interested in this idea first.

Anything of value gets scavenged. So it'd be more the sort of thing you'de build security for yourself and your stuff around a mine and then build a charter stone and hand shit out to noobs as they spawn and ask for help. Nothing else of the sort is sustainable.

It'd end up like the Ring of Brodgar did in world 2 I suspect. Which ultimately was a failure.

You'd probably help some people out and I'd assume it might be fun for you, but there'd be lots of stealings, assaults, and murders.

I live in a abandoned town. Pretty small but hey I got a stone mansion and two palisades without any work so not bad. But what you want to do is secure smaller areas of the town, becuase most towns are way to big to defend well with a smaller ammount of people than the old occupants.
