Spawn more mines?

Postby Anaklumos » Wed Dec 01, 2010 1:25 am

What do you think about just spawning a few more possible mine holes throughout the world, so the noobs have a shot of at least getting lucky again unlike the futility of now. Maybe a few more gold/silver to get the trade flowing, all the big cities are stuck up with trading their gold, and if you ask me, could be a little more..... spendthrifty with it.

And if anyone says that they should go look in a cave and find their own, they're cursed by the power of Jorbtar.

Also, no I'm not a noob, I've actually been to the higher parts of life in this game, and I'll most likely stop playing since my parents are on my case about school. :\

Dislike,

Metal is the only resource in this game that has any sort of trade value what-so-ever, and it is lamentably permanent right now once obtained.

I've been in a metal poor environment, we survived and began to thrive just fine without it. Metal fuels trade, it fuels interaction with other communities by necessity for those who do not have it.

What we need instead, IMO, is another stage of equipment that does not require metal. Hardened wood equipment using wax or oil, Higher Quality construction making a difference in things like plows, stone bladed scythes made with obsidian from mountain deposits, wooden shovels, etc.

Stop asking for more mines and go look for some in the western portions of the map.

Dislike, do you realize how many people have bitched about the lack of mine? What they should have been doing is spending their time finding the mines.

And planning for 3 months makes you not a noob.... sure...

Ok, first off the title was changed so that it doesn't make you wonder what it actually says as opposed to just seeing it and saying "HELLZ NO".

And let it be known, I'M NOT BEGGING FOR ANY MORE DAMN MINES! (Except for if Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, etc. get put into the game as mines, I really want those)

I just wanted to know, but apparently it's too one sided to get a clear reading, I know most of you are in a position of power in the game compared to the common folk.

Thread titles should inform the reader of a thread's subject before they enter it.

This is not an option.

This shit again!? fer fucks sake, the amount of mines is fine, just go find a cave in a nice secluded spot and search. caves are uncommon but not rare, you'd be surprised by how many I and my fellow villagers have found in our little region alone.

oh yeah, try to find a cave in the outers. and make sure they are pretty far spaced apart when you search, if you have two mines within one local map of each other or even further, you can save on rustroot by not checking the other one when the first one yields no mines.

If I had an ore of Adaman for every person asking for more mines, I would have enough for an Adaman Plate by now......
