Decay removal feedback

Postby pordle » Thu Dec 02, 2010 4:23 am

Don't know about your free time but I noticed that after I harvest and check my chickens and cows I'm "out of work".
I can be free to actually, go fish, hunt, something other than chop down all the trees and do repairs weeeeeeeeeeee.
Liking it a few weeks down the line.

You'd have to be some kind of masochists to hate it... (or a damn larper but they're all masochists anyway)

I really can't say I ever had a problem with decay.

I quite like the lack of decay. It means that if I have a damaged section of wall, that there is a cause for it, even if tracking doesn't reveal it to me.

Generally you would want tracking on to catch that though I can see where you are getting at. The lack of decay allows players more time to do other things other than repairing infrastructures. Though one thing to note that these materials (namely bricks) will have a reduced demand on the market. I think loftar foresaw this and allows us to make brick arts.

This change ruined the game to me, I mean, in the real world you have to repair stuff no matter, and there are no claims.
I say we revert back to how it used to be. I loved repairing my fences, troughs and everything else, it just added atmosphere to the game. I also love how cupboards used to explode, in the good old days. What cupboard wouldnt break down after weeks in the open? you have to be a homo to put cupboards outside anyway but noooo.

Jorb and Loftar only made this change to fuck with us >:-(

Does a typical wooden plank fence need repairs yearly? No. What about a one made out of tree trunks? That's what a palisade is, and the decay rate was ridiculous. Honestly, brick walls should last lifetimes, decay or not.

It's the best feature change ever.

@Sotsa, are you keeping cupboards outside? Cupboards are supposed to explode still.
Come back two hours earlier.
