The Arena

Hello hearthlings.
Soon, attempts will be made to start an arena business, where combatants sign up and fight to KO for a prize.
Spectating will be possible, for a price.

What I need from you is an assessment of how many of you guys would be willing to pay a small price to watch a fight, either 1 on 1 or teams.

And who could consider signing up as a combatant.

We do prefer the combatants to be well known members of their community, so they have a reputation to soil if they cheat.

I also need voulenteers for security. You won't get payment for this, but it will be like free spectating.
For being a security dude you need good MM and a rbow. preferrably 200-300 MM.

Upon entering the arena, the combatants will be aggroed by the ranger guards so they cannot run if they break the rules and kill their opponent.
The guards will also be there to keep the spectators orderly, though I do advise you to spectate with an alt.

If sufficient interest is shown in this, we will start distributing signs to the arena in the near future.
Apparently, I can't make polls, so you just have to leave your opininons on these matters in a reply to this thread:
Would you pay something to view a PvP fight.
Would you participate as a combatant?
PM me if you are interested in voulenteering as security, you should preferably be somewhat well known so i can trust you.

this sounds awesome, as for a price, i would say maybe some linen or something useful, although easy to get for lower people. i would not recomend using metal as a lot of people dont have access to it
i really need to find a good signature

I was thinking maybe some cavebulbs for a starter.
It might be possible to pay in several different items, with different amounts needed for different things.
Prices will be worked on, of course. And might decrease of increase as we see fit.

no for 1v1, maybe for group matches. Yes for fight to the death matches.

Would you participate as a combatant?

Nope.

Only issue with this is is, most matches would be pretty boring to watch considering combat really isn't all that flashy or cool to watch in game.

This.

But MM fights would be pretty awesome, as long as theres some obstacles and moving around.

you have a point. Thouch i suspect team based melee fights could be pretty dynamic.
MM fight might be possible, but it would make the spectators less safe in case the wrong kind of people got in the arena.

But team fight would be possible, as well as MM fights and free for alls. It would also be possible to set up scenarios, like defending a makeshift fort or similar.

Also, it would have to be somewhere central, like nople or Sodom. Or we could make an entirely new village in the center of the hearthlands.
