Recent Developments

Could the Devs make a post compiling all of the recent additions and complications to the game for those of us who haven't been able to (or necessarily wanted to) play as much recently?

Thanks!

Actually, since cheese-making, not much of interest has happened. After we added cheese, I first went on vacation for two weeks, which prevented further development, and after that I did pathfinding, which didn't leave much time over for funny new features. The only new things which I can think of that has happened after cheese-making are:
* Poppies and Onions that don't do anything yet
* Gloves and Belts that do nothing and probably never will
* Pathfinding
* Animals escaping
* A couple of bugfixes here and there

As for the immediate future, we'll be fiddling with the map generator to make more exciting maps, and then do the long talked-about map reset. The map reset will probably be the single largest change so far, but we'll try to add some other stuff to keep you occupied if we have some time over between mapgen and bugfixes. :)

Other things loftar seems to have forgotten:

- pathfinding
- ongoing tinkering with hunting, with animals now running away, etc
- numerous bug fixes, particularly to village claims
- making it impossible to log back in where you logged out if that would put you in a claim where you were not authorized (a village you are not a member of, a personal claim where you aren't kin, or where kin aren't authorized)

[Edit - oops, loftar mentioned most of these. I'll go back to trying to wake up now.]

OK, thanks, but what about the new things I've heard you can build? Like monocles and ... something else, but I can't remember. Apparently only the Goons know?

I assumed the monocles thing was a joke.

If you think it is a joke, come click me ingame sometime to see my avatar.
Monocles do nothing yet though... just like everything.

I was under the impression that those were dev items, actually.

And to add to the topic, candelabra have been decreased in cost to a mere 2 cast iron. Not mind-boggling, but there.

Was shift-click functionality added to planting saplings, or was it there all along?
