But how did it all begun in H&H? At least with farming?

The only way Farming could begin was getting WWW, then putting it inside Herbalist Tables.

But how did those Herbalist Tables were created, if they need Plant Fibers?

This struck me when I was looking for a new place to settle down. To get seeds, I need WWW. To get seeds from WWWs, I need a Herbalist Table. To get a Herbalist Table, I need 10 Plant Fibers. To get Plant Fibers, I need Flax/Hemp, which I don't have, since I don't have seeds!

you can dry wwws on drying racks, the same thing you dry hides on. it just takes about 3x as long.

also it's 8 plant fibers

Solution:

Trade with the nearby village who figured this problem out ages ago.

oh, this takes me back. i remember when drying racks used to decay in 1 hit, so it was very likely your rack would bust overnight and you'd lose your wwws. we made a policy early on that it was 1 www per rack :)

taproot works for recipes that call for string but not specifically plant fibre.

long, long time ago, you would occasionally find wild plants, just like now you'd find forageable plants, but they'd grow in groups. You'd try to find the right plant in the right terrain, lotsa effort
