Roadville - Ghost Town?

Postby Gedrean » Thu Jan 06, 2011 12:02 am

So, I passed by a little shanty called Roadville. Place looks nicely organized, appears to be a handful (2-5?) players with their HFs in there, but I found signs of disuse. There are sections of palisade going red, most of the crops are fully harvestable and spots in between crop sections are fallow, there's a lot of crop outside the village limits that's all harvestable but untouched. Some of their pallygates are gone already.

Is Roadville dead? Do any players there read this and pay attention?

Have there been massive losses of roadness?

Walked in, took a wildspawn chicken, watched a fox slaughter the rest of the flock, and left.

You fucking monster.

It was gorgeous. Not one chicken made it to the palisades. Then the chicks... ohhh the chicks.

Seriously the other day I saw the most horrendous sight, like walking through a moorland I saw two flock of chickens spawned (saw two cocks, thus two flock), and out of nowhere this pack of 7 foxes just starts MAULING them all. I walked on, then came back after a few moments because I hit a cliff edge (whatever they're called, hate those fucking things, goddamn hearthlings can't climb?) and all I saw were corpses and a few foxes wandering the battlefield.

Good times.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.
