Are you guys going to settle at the spot u spawn or are you going to get boatbuilding asap and go out to search for high Q natural resources to settle there?

Im deffo not going to settle before I find a q70+ water/clay spot.

Good quality resource spots is the way to go. Good quality metal depends of all of them.

I think the best thing to do would be find a mine first so you can trade for the high q resources and not worry about it
