I didn't want to make another thread as I already see enough of these things about having issues connecting, but even when the server is up I haven't been able to connect. I was able to connect when I last tried a few weeks (months?) ago, on the same computer. I deleted the entire Java cache and I've turned off the Windows Firewall. Not really sure what else to try.

I've tried both. It was originally occurring using only the original client, though.

I hate double-posting, but I honestly can't think of any fix for this problem. I updated Java, wondering if that was causing any issues... is there a port I should try opening on the router? I'm mostly confused because it's worked on this system before, and I don't believe I've installed anything that would affect any internet connections.

Edit: Opened 1871/tcp and 1870/udp on the router as I saw on another thread, and that's still not doing anything.

To clarify, it authenticates then simply sits at "Connecting.." for a few seconds before telling me it couldn't connect.

Edit 2: I guess that finally worked. Neeeeevermind. (This thread is now just me talking to myself. I will continue if necessary.)
